Sebastian Hutchings - Sebastian was born in Banff to a family of artists and long time mountain folk, both of which have greatly shaped his own creative life. While he studied music formally at Concordia University in Montreal, much of his learning has come through wandering, spending long periods of time in the mountain world, and through a deep involvement with the arts in many forms. He also has been a writer of words since his childhood, and the love of story and myth greatly effect his approach to music. In November of 2009, Sebastian produced a double-bill performance of two operas, The Waiting Room by Lorena Orozco, and his own piece, The Agony of Mrs. Stone.
